Intro
O.K. There has been more activity than usual in the guild this month. To me thats a good thing even though most of it has been bad activity. There's been leavers, arguements, joiners who left or suck and as well as the normal amount of hate.
From what I've seen this is all due to pretty much 1 thing. Raids.

Main causes:
People missing out when they signed up
People signing up and not showing
People being bads and wanting to raid
Did I miss any? Well shut the hell up and listen.

I'm pretty over it, myself. I KNOW Kitty is too. There have been complaints about him lately, I'm sure there have been about me too, but in all seriousness having to deal with you guys all night is hard

Solution?
Thats up to you guys. I propose a little more formality in the ranks and raids.
Rules for not turning up
Ranks that actually have to do something (like organise raids and actually perform them.. looking at you for that parrot and anarial/lanky)

What will come of this?
Hopefully more members and smoother/more frequent raids.
25 man raids.

Nobody HAS to do anything. If ANYTHING fails, just know it was YOUR fault.

If it keeps going as is, we will have no members left and it'll get pretty shit.
We have some fairly skilled players in pretty much all classes, what would have been the problem with carrying metalonyx through some raids for gear like we did with earisa? Then helping him spec like we did with earisa? Blitz/Azzony both could have helped there.
Carry 1 guildie for a week? Not too much to ask.

TLDR
I propose large guild changes. Tell me what you all think. What, How, Why etc.

To be honest I really don't know what would work as a solution. The main issue in my opinion is when people sign up then don't show up. It makes it almost impossible to form a raid when you aren't sure what you are working with. The same deal goes for people who don't sign up, then expect to come. The issue with punishing with say 'you cannot raid next week' gimps the numbers for that following week; so you are left with the conundrum of breaking your own rules. The whole recruitment thing could potentially solve this, but until we start 'clearing' current level content it is extremely difficult to recruit skilled and geared raiders. Sure we can gear people up when we recruit them, but that requires doing full runs of lower level raids; limiting our time for current content and hence losing any new members that join for current content.

Sorry for the wall, but it is a complex problem...

I propose alt runs
Several guild members have alts that fill varying roles.
Therefore, people who miss out on the initial run, can come in the alt run.
Who makes the grade for the first run I don't know how to do, I'm personally a fan of FCFS (first come first served, but maybe something like whoever is online at the time of the run as per calender, pref goes to who signed up earlier). Also I'm aware that this could create a buff/class/role nightmare but it's just a thought.

PS: I hope you guys know we all really appreciate the work you do running the guild, it's obviously a stressful task and making the hard decisions must suck, but you guys do a great job.

Yeah Lanky, like you said the whole buff, class nightmare stuff. For example you get all 5 of the guild's warlocks show up at once...

Its going to be hard making everyone happy all the time. All in all its going to have to come down to a calculated joint decission. I was asked to sit out of ToC last week and i did, admited i wasn't happy but i thought i did everyone a favor since: a) I was still not very geared and b) never run it before

All in all some people need to be a little more civilized. If you don't need a drop from a raid, signed up last minute and/or there are more then enough of your class, be the bigger man (or woman) and stand down cause argueing isn't going to get us anywhere. There will always be a next time

My DPS is starting to shoot through the roof but i'm sitting out on Yogg cause my computer can't handle the graphics of the fight. There is no point QQing about it. There is really not much i can do about it at the moment. I accept this.

I think a recruitment drive might be the way to go.

The raid weekly offers a unique opportunity to pug some of the easier raid content. Perhaps if we were too run some 1/2 guild 1/2 pug 25 man for the weekly's, we could use them as scouting run. At the end of the run we could gauge how people act and their play style. If we like what we see then we could approach them on the side and ask them if they would like to join up. Kinda like trials in disguise.

Ive said this a few times, were in a awkward phase. We have too many to run 10 mans without leaving ppl out and just out of reach of having enough people to run 2 10 man groups and a 25 man group. I think recruitment will help solve this.

Also alt/lowbie/not gear people run are a good idea as well. Hopefully we can drag some of these people that i see in the guild but never in raid up to our lvl so we have more people to work with.

Welcome back villageidiot. Good start to recruiting - getting our old members back

Some of these ideas are very good and likely be used after it gets a little formalised. I'll start a thread in the moderator forums to refine the ideas and I'll promote some other members who should be able to see this these threads to help.

I'll spend some time on the forums changing and adding ranks etc to actually make them useful. I know the forum is kinda dead but if I hope for activity to pick up at all I'd better do something. Plus with recruiting there will be the usual push to force the forums down their throats.

Kitty is yet to post but has some 'fearless learder plans' brewing about 2 10 mans. They seem pretty solid.

If anyone wants to raise their hand to help in any way I would really appreciate it. There has been talk of sexual favours as payment.

OK we here is what I think we should try for next week, as well as looking into getting some recruitment drives going with cookies and free stuff everyone likes free stuff to try and get some more members for all the roles tanks healers and dps if there undergeared we can mould them in to what we need, all so we need the members we have now to help out the other members with gear spec and gems we help Earisa out a lot and from she hit 80 we all jumped on and help her out and in a week she was geared and beating parot in dps, But 1st thing is 1st we need some ideas on what to say and how to make our guild look like fun, it is fun and much love is there just gota open our arms to the world of warcraft . so if anyone has any ideas let us know and we can sign some people to work on spaming trade and getting people in the guild

So for the weekly raid we all get on and we do the 25man of it and pug what we need and let people know we are looking for members, and see if they make the cut. So this is going to be put in the works from next week so get ready for that. As well as the 25man weekly we will run an alt 10man for our alts later in the week for the people who missed out at the start

Now for the guild raids for ToC and loladar and the rest of them BUT ICC. 10mans we will need everyone to try and be on that little bit more. Some people to lend a helping hand to start this off.
Ok with the guild right now we can run 2 10mans with a few people pulling 2 shifts for the start.
That means we have to give up a raid night. But that’s ok once this gets up and running it will all be sweet. Groups will have to stay as they are for the start untill the people pulling 2 shifts are back to 1
guild ranks will change for this and for all the people that are not in one because the core was made with the people that seem to be there for all then raids all the time you can still raid more on that later :p

the 2 groups should have a split buffs and the dps should be close to the same. On a side note I tried to keep friends together with what I could.

ok on to all the people who are not in the list OH NO kitty you forgot a lot of people. Not to fear we can fix this if you do the maths you can see they only have 9 in each. SO it mean we can slot in and out with 2 people each week and swap out dps heals and tank when our numbers grow. just to name a few people that are not there, borial, obbi kodar druid hippy. they can all raid and swap in and out with people. The 2 groups we with the turn up of the last few weeks in mind that’s how they were made.

Now this is the main part parrot and thandor are now the only people with raid leader ranks.
That’s right they are the raid leaders so you listen to them and do what they say. And to let them know if you can make the raid, you can tell me but you should telll them 1st only talk to me if they are not online. If parrot and thandor don’t want to do it let me know and I will change it.

Now as for ICC and TogC as its hard and we need the best of the best for that it will be inv ONLY for that week so the 2 raid leaders will inv you to it if they feel your up to the challenge untill we clear it then start changing the group around for it, the hard modes in uldar and achi in other raids will be up to the raid leader if you do them or not.

So with this 2 10man team after the kinks get worked out and id running smooth it will give us 20 people that are geared and ready to move on to 25man stuff its just going to take abit of time and need people healping out best they can.

Now ill just add my 2 cents while i am sitting in the business class lounge in Singapore, as most of u know i am going to be overseas doing a gap year in the UK and then traveling Europe in the holidays, which is why i won't be coming to future raids for at least a couple of weeks until i know the availability that i have while working, at this rate i am looking at it being none. In this case my main holysali will be getting xfer'd off while a friend plays it so when the time comes ill be focusing on my alt bigcritz. By then most likely cata will be out and i will stop playing until i return since buying a copy overseas means its Europe copy... fail bliz.

On to the whole brainstorming idea i can see its success happening but it all comes down to attendance, and as kity said ppl have been left out of those 2 groups and please just because u weren't put down or even mentioned turn up and talk to lkgparrot and anarial/gend because they will most likely be needing some1 extra to fill the group up. IF!! we can bring this into full swing and ppl turning up to raids when they said they would it will progress our guild so far, in terms of organisation and completion of raids.
